<image:title>Home - Me as a Therapist</image:title>
<image:caption>Let’s help untangle where you feel stuck… I help women, men, and couples in San Francisco, and throughout California, who are stuck in negative, repetitive cycles, either in their own mind or in relationships. For those seeking Individual Therapy, I will help you quiet your racing, repetitive thoughts; feel more confident in your decisions; and understand the deeper emotions underneath internal critical thoughts. I support people who worry their feelings are incorrect; who focus on what other people are thinking about them; or who fear there is something wrong with them, deep down. For those interested in Couples Therapy, I will help you and your partner understand the negative cycle that is underneath that "same fight" you keep having over and over. I will help each of you to better understand your own feelings & better understand your partner while practicing more effective communication skills with one another.</image:caption>

<image:title>About Me</image:title>
<image:caption>First and foremost, I love what I do. I attended The University of California in Berkeley where I received a B.A. in Psychology. My experiences working in various fields and communities within the Bay Area have given me some of the best insight I have as a therapist. Several years after receiving my undergraduate degree, I returned to Berkeley to attend The Wright Institute, and received an M.A. in Counseling Psychology. Prior to launching my private practice, I worked at a local East Bay Non-Profit Mental Health Agency as a high school therapist supporting adolescents in East Contra Costa County before becoming a Program Supervisor managing multiple teams. I loved the agency’s mission and valued the connections I made with my colleagues, but I missed the one-on-one clinical work with my clients. I understand and have witnessed the value of having a person to turn to when you can not make sense of what is happening inside of yourself, and feel you have no one. Let’s work together to help untangle the places that you feel stuck. My colleagues and clients find me to be warm, approachable, humorous, direct, and compassionate. I see clients for both longer-term, growth oriented work, and short-term, solution focused worked aimed to resolve a specific problem. I consider myself an integrative therapist, incorporating explorative psychodynamic and attachment theories with cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, and have received certifications in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR); Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT); and have completed Level 1 and Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.</image:caption>
